Currently WikiPedia (staff) lives from donations.
What about the contributors?
What about selforganizing new income models in this and other communities?
Entering the age of WikiNomics, what about thinking how to selforganize income for the contributors of Wiki content.
As one of the many possiblities take WikiDot, who have built on the AdsenseAPi a plugin, that allows WikiProviders to earn 80% of AdsenseIncome, whereas 20% goes to the provider WikiDot itself.
At CommunityWiki:SmallGroupSingularity , you mention the “Slidewiki”, an experiment in making a scroll-free wiki (to encourage reworking).
I thought it was an interesting experiment, returning to the HyperCard origins of wiki.
Alas, today that wiki seems to be offline.
Is there anything I can do to get it back online?
Or at least get its content back online at some other wiki?

PS..
Meanwhile, Wiki Answers seems to be the wiki most similar to slidewiki that is currently online. Many pages on Wiki Answers have only a couple of sentences, which concisely but completely answer the question in the title of the wiki page, followed by links to other related pages in the wiki.
Beyond that I would love to transfer the domain names
SlideWiki.net, AskWiki?.net into your domain portfolio for Google:FreeGainSharing as part of our efforts of raising the Commons’ barn SocialDomaining.
We all are invited to define WikiNomics. The following contribution shows how Wikis and Clipmarks form an ideal tool to amplify awareness in the social online communities.
FridemarPache: Aaron, I just detected MarkDilley there and defended his position against a writer, who is only interested in ideas and concepts for the 11. Chapter and not in persons, who contributed. Here my
quote:
“Daaberg, I agree with you and MarkDilley, that ideas (and concepts and goods and services based on this stuff) are the most important elements of Wiki Culture and WikiNomics. But you won’t find intelligent and creative authors, if you deprive them of their AuthorCredit as embodied in their WikiHomepage. I know MarkDilley from the first historical wiki (i.e. WardsWiki) and as an excellent contributor to Wiki Culture (WikiIndex, AboutusOrg). He is right, suppressing WikiHomepages is not compatible with Wiki, it looks as in this case Wiki is abused as an idea/concept/content- harvesting tool, that deters authors, in whose ideas we all are interested. And we all are interested, that this WikiNomics wiki is prospering, aren’t we. — FridemarPache (Amplified webwide under the title AuthorCreditEssentialForWikiNomics)”.Read more at www.usemod.com
Open Business is more than business, decorated by the buzzword “open”, derived from the Open Source Movement. It’s about opening the Wealth Generators of Business to the wider public for participation, just like Open Source opens the most valuable part of software for sharing. Note how the smart Google engine honored this definition by bringing it on top (11-20) of 184 million entries.
OpenBusiness generalizes the worldwide OpenSource movement. While OpenSource invites everyone to participate on the WealthGenerator? … www.usemod.com/cgi-bin/mb.pl?OpenBusiness - 41k - Cached - Similar pages -
FridemarPache: Foremost it creates money for charities, but indirectly it creates goodwill and sympathy for the participants of this new realworld “game”. Similar like WorkingLikeaHoofsmith? it serves as an innovative form of advertising, reducing costs, transforming them into useful service. As the helpful transactions are made transparent, it may even become the cornerstone of OpenBusiness and ExtremeOpenBusiness, targeted at a SocialCommonWealth.
The theme of the XXIX Annual Conference in October, 2003 was “The economics of the noble path: fraternal rights, the convivial society, fair shares for all”. The conference was dedicated to the “essential figures of Ernst Schumacher and Ivan Illich, amidst many of their present-day heirs”. Its four Workshop sessions were on “Sharing limited resources and a change of course”; “Assets and hardships: proposals for the invention of a fraternal sharing of benefits”; “Water or oil? The assets of living nature are not up for sale”; and “Surviving and being truly human”. The proceedings will be published by the Pio Manzu Centre in due course. See more at www.jamesrobertson.com
Is here somebody who participates in those highlevel Conferences, to gap the bridge between our grassroots movement and high decision makers?
This OLPC video really speaks to the heart of the potential of young people the world over waiting to be given the chance to be all they can be. We should work towards making child-friendly content and experiences for OLPC and other small child laptop users.
OLPC Children are our partners to realize a better world. You are more powerful than some “helpers” think. We help each other, because we need each other.

Steve Case has launched his latest startup, Revolution Money, which looks to completely overhaul the online payments industry. The service starts with Revolution MoneyExchange, a free money transfer service that competes with PayPal. Additionally, the company will be launching a credit card called RevolutionCard, that users will be able to link to their MoneyExchange accounts. For merchants, transaction fees will start at 0.5%, much lower than the current fees charged by most payment processors.
